Heather Laura Gray - Odyssey Master Class Teacher


Heather Laura Gray began her training at L’ecole Superieur de Dance du
Quebec, The Goh Ballet and trained independently in voice, acting and
many other dance disciplines. She has performed on stage and screen as
an actor, singer and dancer. Her journey has led her to produce, direct
and choreograph stage shows as well as contemporary dance. Heather was
co-artistic director of the Industry Dance Training Program of Vancouver
in 2011, she developed a two year syllabus for the Vancouver Junior
Professional Division and enjoys educating dancers through adjudicating,
master classes and teaching regularly at Harbour Dance Centre. She’s
co-choreographed Sweet Mystery the musical and presented her work in New
York City. Recently, Heather has been commissioned to set pieces on Give
Me Brilliance Dance Company and Coastal City Ballet Company.
Heather is a member of ACTRA, The
Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists, The Dancer Transition Resource
Centre. She is currently being represented by Da Costa Talent.

Monica Proenca - Auditions

Monica
Proença was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her dance studies began in
Brazil at an early age and her talents allowed her to continue her dance
education in the United States. After attending the San Francisco School
of the Arts she returned to Brazil to begin her professional career.
Monica has worked in many international dance companies such as Bale De
Brasilia directed by Gisele Santoro, Deeply Rooted Productions directed
by Kevin Iega Jeff and Gary Abbot and Don Lavy Dance Company directed by
Samuel Don Lavy. She has also had the pleasure of working in many
independent productions with world renowned choreographers such as
Carlos Vilan (Spain), Vera Timashova (Russia), Irene Schneider (Germany)
and John Ottman (Canada). Operas and Ballets such as Orpheus and
Eurydice, Jesus Christ Superstar Giselle and Swan Lake are part of her
extensive resume. Monica continues her collaboration with Science
Friction Productions (directed by Shannon Moreno and Farley Johansson).
Most recently her choreography has been awarded in Canada, France and
Australia and performed by BallettAufTakt (Germany). Monica returns to
Brazil yearly as a guest teacher, dancer, adjudicator and choreographer
in Brasilia's acclaimed International Dance Seminar. She currently calls
Vancouver, Canada her home where she continues to teach and perform. As
a teacher and choreographer in Ballet, Modern and Contemporary, she
conducts her career with passion, strength and elegant technique
uniquely combined with her own Brazilian flair.
Claire French - Auditions guest teacher

Claire is co-artistic director/ choreographer
of Restless Productions (with composer James Maxwell), working towards a
full length production with a cast of dancers and musicians that will
premiere at The Dance Centre in Vancouver in Oct 2012 and an opera that
will premiere in Feb 2013.

Claire also runs a choreographic project for
emerging professional choreographers and dancers in Vancouver-
called Project CPR (Choreographic Practice and Research) - going
into its third year in 2011/12.
Claire also co-directs the Vancouver Global
Dance Project Summer school in Vancouver (with Brenna McLaud). VGDP
